La opresión es real, aunque el tirano sea imaginario. Uno de mis mayores intereses es la libertad, a la que veo como uno de los valores más importantes al que puede aspirar el ser humano. Mi trabajo es una pequeñísima parte en un inmenso esfuerzo por alcanzar la emancipación humana, de mitos y supersticiones opresoras que menosprecian nuestra especie, coartan nuestras responsabilidades e impiden nuestro progreso moral, racional y digno.

Encuentro indigno y servil suplicar salud al ‘creador’ de la enfermedad. Encuentro inmoral creer que nuestras conductas deben ser dictadas y fiscalizadas por un ser ‘superior’; que se nos sugiera incapaces de hacernos cargo de nuestro destino y de las consecuencias de nuestros juicios y actos. Encuentro irracional la abdicación del pensamiento crítico y la lógica para aceptar proposiciones injustificadas y falaces como verdaderas (aquello que llaman fe); la restricción y censura de dudas y preguntas que buscan ampliar nuestro conocimiento y progreso humano es irracional y grotesco, característico de tiranías que buscan perpetuar su relación de dominio sobre otro.

Aspiro a la emancipación de esta tiranía; sean bienvenidas las responsabilidades y obligaciones morales que, como consecuencia suya, nos imponga nuestra libertad.

The imaginary tyrant, 2016

The oppression is real, even if the tyrant is imaginary. One of my greatest interests is liberty, which I see as one of the most important values ​​that human beings can aspire to. My work is a very small part in an immense effort to achieve human emancipation from oppressive myths and superstitions that belittle our species, restrain our responsibilities and impede our moral, rational, and dignified progress.

I find it unworthy and servile begging health to the 'creator' of the disease. I find it immoral to believe that our behavior must be dictated and supervised by a 'superior' being; that we may be unable to take care of our own destiny and the consequences of our judgments and actions. I find irrational the abdication of critical thinking and logic to accept unjustified and fallacious propositions as true (what is called faith); the restriction and censorship of doubts and questions that seek to expand human knowledge and progress is irrational and grotesque, characteristic of tyrannies that seek to perpetuate their relationship of dominion over others.

I aspire to the emancipation of this tyranny; let us welcome the responsibilities and moral obligations that, as a consequence of it, are imposed onto us by our liberty
